Gallivant Hotel

Hi everyone!  We recently took a trip down to Camber Sands to stay for a couple of nights at a rustic-chic beach hotel called The Gallivant.  We'd just got married (woo hoo!)  and needed a little break somewhere peaceful to get over all the amazing mayhem.  Down on the coast near Rye East Sussex, this was just the place for relaxation as it was just over the road from the huge stretch of sandy beach and they served a complimentary tea in the afternoon.  Here's a few pictures I thought you'd like to see, which I think shows how this Californian motel-inspired hotel has received numerous awards including The Independent's 'Top 13 Best Beachside Hotels' award...

The rooms are decorated with a shabby-chic nautical style, with these lovely loose-leaf teas, which I hadn't tried before.

Brilliant idea for a hotel - a shared pantry!  If you have the munchies, you just write down what you've had and pay at the end, like a delicious mini-bar.  I wish this was in my house!

The restaurant is open to hotel guests in the afternoon for complimentary afternoon tea

Breakfast the following day

After a little wander around the area we came back to stuff our faces with tea and cake again!

We had a great few days away and I hope you liked the piccies!  Click here to look on The Gallivant's own website, with more info and of course booking details if you fancy it... X
